18 anni. tanto è passato dalla nascita del CSOA Gabrio. In un periodo come questo, dominato da una congiuntura economica che ha la sua cifra nel termine “crisi”, il nostro compleanno vuole essere occasione per rilanciare una serie di pratiche che sono l’essenza del nostro essere soggetto di movimento.

Prima di tutto l’autogestione e l’autorganizzazione come capacità di prendere in mano le nostre vite e dare risposte concrete ai bisogni. Siamo stati solidali in questi anni e lo saremo ancora nei confronti di tutte quelle esperienze che fanno della riappropriazione diretta esercizio quotidiano.
Abbiamo promosso ed appoggiato negli anni occupazioni di stabili abbandonati per dare un tetto e, soprattutto, dignità a soggetti considerati ”deboli” lasciati soli dalle istituzioni. Auguriamo a queste realtà (ben 4 solo in zona San Paolo) di poter festeggiare anche loro tantissimi compleanni.

In 18 anni il CSOA Gabrio ha riconsegnato alla metropoli ed in particolar modo al quartiere uno spazio inutilizzato allestendo e fornendo in maniera solidale e fuori dalle logiche commerciali una miriade di iniziative: dagli sportelli (quello legale, quello per il diritto alla casa, quello per il lavoro) alla palestra popolare con tutti i suoi corsi. E poi la microclinica che fornisce consulenze mediche preziose, il mercatino/distro, l’orto collettivo, la ciclofficina. Senza dimenticare le serate musicali, con proposte mai banali e tese alla promozione di una scena concertistica fuori dai circuiti ufficiali e commerciali. Un modo diverso di intendere la convivialità e lo stare insieme.
Tutto ciò ha portato tra le nostre mura migliaia di persone che ancora frequentano ed amano la nostra “casa”.

18 anni. Anni vissuti nelle strade all’insegna del conflitto, vero motore di cambiamento. Anni di cortei, manifestazioni, presidi. Anni di lotte. Per i diritti dei migranti e contro i CIE, novelli lager. Per il diritto all’abitare in condizioni dignitose. Per opporsi alle grandi opere, spreco di denaro pubblico ed aggressione all’ambiente, ieri le Olimpiadi oggi il TAV.
Anni di opposizione alle guerre umanitarie e alle politiche neoliberiste, alla precarietà, nel segno di un reddito per tutt*.
Anni di prese di posizione nette e non mediabili. Di antiproibizionismo militante contro le narcomafie e la repressione, opponendo a questi informazioni libere dai moralismi, autoproduzione e concreti strumenti di limitazione dei rischi, votati al benessere dei consumatori e della collettività, in una reale logica di riappropriazione. Anni di riscoperta delle nostre radici, della memoria antifascista non conciliata nel nome di Dante di Nanni. Di antirazzismo non solo paroliere ma vivo ed attivo. Di anticapitalismo. Di antisessismo, resistenza agli attacchi contro l’autodeterminazione delle donne e promozione di una cultura sensibile alle differenze di genere e al rispetto di ogni orientamento sessuale: liber* di scegliere e di amare!
